At Helping Hands Home Care Agency, we provide 1915(i) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) designed to help eligible individuals live safely, independently, and successfully in their homes and communities.

Who Are 1915(i) Services For?
​
1915(i) services are available to eligible children and adults age 3 and older who have NC Medicaid and experience certain conditions that may make it difficult to manage everyday activities independently.
​
This may include individuals with:

Intellectual or developmental disabilities, such as autism or Down syndrome

Serious mental health conditions
-
Severe substance use disorders
-
Traumatic brain injuries

Services are designed around each person's individual needs, goals, and care plan.

How We Can Help
Depending on an individual's approved services and care plan, 1915(i) supports may include:

Assistance with daily living and personal care skills

Developing independence and life skills
-
Support with household activities such as cooking and laundry

Assistance with participating in the community

Respite services to provide caregivers with a temporary break

Support with employment and developing job-related skills
-
Assistance with transitioning into a home of their own
